If you are arrested, it is wise to use your right to silence.
Do not make any incriminating statements to police
Do not confess because you have been caught. Remember cannabis should not be a crime. Do not make the job of the police any easier than it already is.
Know your rights
You have the right to decline from making a statement. This is good advice that you should get if you contact a lawyer.
Having said that, you do have the opportunity to speak to the court while under arrest. Your future judge will read anything you say. And your comments will be read out in court. If you want to share your views on the unjust nature of the Drug laws, now is a good time. Remember do not say anything the least bit incriminating.
Refuse to comment or answer ambiguously to police questioning. For example:
Police: Is this your cannabis plant.
you: I'm not pleading guilty to this ridiculus law.
Police: You're not answering my question, is this cannabis yours?
you: God gave man all seed bearing plants
OR: I do not wish to make a statement until i have sought legal advice
All going well, you should be released on bail to await your first court appearence.

GreenTEA
Cops kept trying to get me to say I had cannabis. I refused then he said if I cooperate they let me go. The next thing he showed me was a bag with a small bag with a dry green plant like substance in it. So I said "can I have a smell of that bag?" to my surprise he opened it, I smelt it and I said "It smells like green tea to me officer."
